Attorney Admissions

Attorneys must be admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming in order to appear before the court in any case or gain access to the ECF filing system for this District. Attorneys seeking regular admission now apply for admission and upload the appropriate petition through the PACER website.

Petition for Admission to Plead and Practice
(Local Rule 84.2(a))

Attorneys may be admitted by Petition if they are admitted and in good standing with the Wyoming Supreme Court. Once admitted by Petition and payment of the fee is received, the attorney may appear in any case in the district by filing a Notice of Appearance in ECF. Attorneys admitted by petition have full admission status. The fee for this admission is Two Hundred Forty-nine Dollars ($249.00). A Certificate of Admission will be mailed to you after your petition is processed and your payment is received. E-filing for this Court will be automatically activated.

Pro Hac Vice
(Local Rule 84.2(b))

If you are not a member of the State Bar of Wyoming but are a member in good standing of a bar of another state, you may seek to be admitted Pro Hac Vice to any existing case in the District of Wyoming. Attorneys seeking pro hac admission must seek admission pro hac vice based upon a written motion made by a member of the Bars of the State of Wyoming and of this Court as set forth in the Local Rules. Attorneys admitted pro hac vice have admission status on a per case basis. The fee for this admission is One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per attorney, per case.
