Virtual POWER Act of 2023

The POWER Act

The Pro bono Work to Empower and Represent (POWER) Act was enacted into law on September 4, 2018. The POWER Act directs the chief judge of every judicial district to hold annual events to promote pro bono legal services as "a critical way in which to empower survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking and engage citizens in assisting those survivors."

In recognition of the important role the Judiciary plays in assisting victims of domestic violence and in compliance with the POWER Act, the District of Wyoming is pleased to cosponsor a virtual POWER Act event which will take place on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Noon (EST).     To register for this event, simply click on the link and provide the requested information.   As the date draws closer, you will be sent a Teams invitation to the email address you provided.  We recommend you sign in approximately 5 minutes before the event to ensure you can complete the connection.  Details and a link to register for the event can be found below.  2023 Virtual POWER Act Event
